World Triathlon Series HAMBURG

A dream came true! Hard work and I succeed my way through to the leading pack with a good swim, only 18" behing Henry Schoeman. After a 22nd place in the WTS in Cape Town I was not unsatisfied with a 33rd place, especially with 36 athlètes on the start qualified for Rio.

Luxemburg Triathlon Championships (Olympic Distanc)

With a Start-Finish Win I got my 3rd national Champion Title with the Elite on Olympic Distance. I came out of the water with an advance of 45" on the next. On the selective 40k bike course I increased my advantage onto my 2 chasers to 3'.

I realize my best swim performance ever! Only 4 athletes have been faster, however I miss the leading pack for a few seconds. Ben Shaw and I did not succeed to take them in, but we caught them together with the chasing group. After a perfect transition I was the first out on the run course of the 5km.
