Excellent performance of the Triathlon World Cup in Cozumel ( Mexico ), achieving 11th place among 75 starters. Swimming and cycling brought no preliminary decision and during the final 5 km run, on which 60 athletes went on the track, I was finally able to put my skills to the test. After 600 meters I was even in third position before I was joined by a group of 11 triathletes. I could go with the pace of my rivals and after 15'18 ", I reached 11th place, meaning the best placement in the elite races so far. In the ITU ranking I could improve by 42 places to number 101.
Ausgezeichnete Leistung beim Triathlon Weltcup in Cozumel (Mexico). 11. Platz unter 75 Startern. Schwimmen und Radfahren brachten keine Vorentscheidung und beim abschliessenden 5 km Lauf, wo rund 60 Athleten auf die Strecke gingen, konnte ich endlich meine Laufqualitäten unter Beweis stellen. Nach 600 m befand ich mich sogar an dritter Position ehe ich mich einer Gruppe von 11 Triathleten anschloss. Ich konnte die Pace meiner Konkurrenten mitgehen und nach 15´18" erreichte ich als 11. das Ziel, gleichbedutend mit der besten Platzierung bei der Elite. Im ITU Ranking konnte ich mich um 42 Plätze auf Rang 101 verbessern.
Excellente performance à la Coupe du Monde de Cozumel (Mexique). 11e place - 75 athlètes au départ. Après la natation et le vélo, un grand groupe de 60 triathlètes s'est formé. Les 5 derniers kms de la course à pied étaient donc décisifs. 3e après 600m, je me retrouve un peu plus loin dans un groupe de 11 coureurs. Malgré la chaleur, je réussis à maintenir l'allure élevée de mes concurrents, pour rallier l'arrivée à l'excellente 11e place, mon meilleur résultat auprès de l'Elite.
